Atomoxetine is a selective norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) that helps the body reuptake norepinephrine, a neurotransmitter in the brain that helps improve impulse control. This medicine works by inhibiting the reuptake of norepinephrine, which increases the amount of norepinephrine available for reuptake and therefore improves executive function. It also has some anti-anxiety properties.
